I have already completed a survey - very good on all points
Very friendly and helpful staff...very clean and comfortable accommodation.
Hotel would benefit from having a residents lounge ......
Affordable accommodation near to Durham, clean room and bath, nice people at the reception, astonishingly quiet although near the motorway.
At the motorway services so excellent location.
Totally isolated, and with no decent food outlet in the vicinity
Staff were excellent - really friendly and helpful.Well placed for Costa and other food.
Motorway noise - this varied on different nights - maybe due to wind in different direction. On 2 nights I hardly heard it but night 3 seemed noisy.
It was easy to reach from the motorway
When everyone was getting ready the water in the shower just dribbled. There were no decaf coffee available. I need ask but was told they were differcult to get hold of.
Your young Scottish Receptionist was extremely helpful, polite, articulate and extremely lovely. She would make a great Ambassador for your hotel chain. The perfect receptionist. Don't lose her, in fact, promote her!
The shower hose in the bath tub, was damaged at the base - had a kink in it - water didn't flow properly. Bathroom sink too small for a good wash and shave without splashing the floor. There was one small downside to my stay at the Days Inn Durham - the "Breakfast". It lacked taste and quality. A tad too 'greasy'?
The staff were particularly welcoming and helpful. The location allowed for easy access off the a1 (and despite this wasn't noisy) and access to Durham centre (10-15 mins drive). The room was clean, comfortable and spacious.
We drove past the hotel site - confused by the fact that it was a Sun Inn and not the name given on the web-site booking. The bathrom soap- dispenser and fan weren't working. Despite the booking being a joint one, my daughters' room was on a different floor from that of my husband and I. Apparently, also, there was no lift.
It was easy to find and convenient for travel into Durham. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the bed was comfortable
The room was too warm and airless and as a result it was hard to sleep.
We liked the basic nature of the hotel it provided us with what we needed. However, as with other hotels we found that the bathroom really could have benefitted from a grab rail to provide stability for those who are less steady on their feet. This should be a standard in all roomsOther than that fine-easy to find, check in and check out
As stated a grab rail would have been good as my partner couldnt take a shower without one
The WiFi didnt work and we were promised a voucher as compensation, but there was no one at reception when checking out and after ringing reception bell and waitng 10mins we had to leave. We would still like to obtain the voucher,is this possible??
Very friendly staff the young girl working at night Nicole , was very accommodating and very understanding as we were working nights , that's one member of staff u don't want to lose
The politeness of the receptionist was very pleasing. However she sold me a voucher for food which was quite disgusting
The so called restaurant next door was simply terrible. Little or no food on the counter a terrible girl on the counter a very bad experience which will not have me racing back tp your hotel.
clean and comfortable; easy access from A1. Liked the Fair trade products in the room
